Modalities & Techniques

We utilize a variety of Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques tailored to your specific needs.

Acupuncture

Use of fine needles at specific body points mapped by the Chinese over a period of 2500 years. These points have been confirmed by modern scientific research such as electromagnetic research. The needles are hair-thin and disposable.

Auricular Acupuncture

Ear acupuncture. There are more than 100 points on each ear corresponding to organs and parts of the human body. This technique is often used for weight control, smoking cessation, and addiction treatment.

Electro-Acupuncture

Use of a very small electric current on the needles to produce a constant or moving stimulation.

Scalp Acupuncture

Needling of points on the scalp. This is widely used for stroke and brain-related conditions.

Moxibustion (Moxa)

Application of heat from a variety of sources to specific points. Most commonly, a herb called Artemisia is burned over the point to warm the meridian.

Cupping

Use of glass cups to create a vacuum on the skin. This increases local blood circulation and is effective for muscle pain and detoxification.

Acupressure (Tui Na)

Chinese style massage and manipulation to stimulate points and meridians.
